About The Journal

JournalsThe Purcell Family of America Journal, published 2 to 4 journals per year, covers many topics that will interest anyone desiring to learn more about the Purcell family line in America.  Articles are contributed from various members, questions are answered, and photographs are shared.  Each year, the Journal provides an index to all issues from that year.

The Journal, which has been running since 1972, is sent in PDF format via e-mail to members.  For members without access to e-mail, a printed copy can be mailed to you at a minimal charge.

Receive The Purcell Family of America Journal

For $30 / calendar year, you will receive two to four issues of the Purcell Family of America Journal and an index at the end of the year. Please send your check addressed to the Purcell Family of America to the treasurer:

Journal Back Issues 

Back issues of the Journal may be purchased on an "as available" basis, including indexes.  The price is $5 per issue or index.  Complete sets of the Journal and indexs may be purchased for $675 through the 2007 issues (Volume 36).  All orders and payments should be sent to the Treasurer.

If you have a specific question about a family member, perhaps a specific journal may have the answers you need.  Ask a question on our discussion board or contact the association directly. 

Membership Drive 

Rod ChaseCome join the Purcell Family of America Membership Drive!  As a thank you, our Board Member Shelby ‘Blair’ Purcell, who owns Snow Goose Gallery with his wife Margot, (purcellmb@comcast.net) has generously donated two framed Rod Chase canvases (Approximate Value: $175.00 each) to spur new member development.  The Membership Drive will run through March 31st, 2009. 

Contest Rules

  1. Each current member of the PFofA will earn one contest entry for each NEW member sponsored.
  2. New members who bring in other new members are eligible as well as long as entry deadline is met.
  3. The member sponsor with the most entries will win one of two identical prizes.
  4. A second winner will be drawn at random among those remaining sponsors who bring in at least one new member.  However, the sponsor with the most entries is not eligible to win another prize.

  6. Specific image selection subject to availability.
  7. Ties to be resolved by coin toss.
