About The Newsletter / Journal

JournalsThe Purcell Family of America Journal was published 4x per year from 1972-2007, and twice in 2008.  Beginning in July 2008 a quarterly eNewsletter was created.  

It covers many topics that will interest anyone desiring to learn more about the Purcell family line in America.  Articles are contributed from various members, questions are answered, and photographs are shared.  Each year, an end-of-the year index is provided.

Today, the eNewsletter is sent in PDF format via e-mail to members.  For members without access to e-mail, a printed copy can be mailed to you at a minimal charge.

With your yearly $30 membership dues, you will receive four issues of the Purcell Family of America eNewsletter and an index at the end of the year. Please send your check addressed to the Purcell Family of America to the treasurer:

Journal/eNewsletter Back Issues 

Back issues of the Journal may be purchased on an "as available" basis, including indexes.  The price is $6 per issue or index.  Complete sets of the Journal and indexes may be purchased for $675 through the 2007 issues (Volume 36).  Please consult current eNewsletters for special offerings on 'overstock' back issues.

All orders and payments should be sent to the Treasurer.

If you have a specific question about a family member, perhaps a specific journal may have the answers you need.  Ask a question on our discussion board or contact the association directly. 

Membership Drive 

Come join the Purcell Family of America Membership Drive!  As a thank you, our Board Member Shelby ‘Blair’ Purcell, who owns Snow Goose Gallery with his wife Margot, (purcellmb@comcast.net) has generously donated two framed Rod Chase canvases (Approximate Value: $175.00 each) to spur new member development.  The Membership Drive will run through March 31st, 2010. 

Contest Rules

  1. Each current member of the PFofA will earn one contest entry for each NEW member sponsored.
  2. New members who bring in other new members are eligible as well as long as entry deadline is met.
  3. The member sponsor with the most entries will win one of two identical prizes.
  4. A second winner will be drawn at random among those remaining sponsors who bring in at least one new member.  However, the sponsor with the most entries is not eligible to win another prize. 
  5. Prizes will be two framed 9”x12” canvas editions (winner's choice of images) by Rod Chase.  Value: approximately $175.00 each. Sample image is shown above left. Winner will be able to select from images shown here: https://www.snowgoosegallery.com/s-4-chase-rod.aspx
  6. Specific image selection subject to availability.
  7. Ties to be resolved by coin toss.
